Yellow Studs Interview

01 MARCH 2011
In Russia, we know nearly nothing about you. Tell us about your band. How did everything begin? How did you decide to create a music band?
We were friends the same byte ahead. We were playing respectively in the music studio on holiday etc. because we liked music. YellowStuds was able to be done before one is aware.

Have you always wished to become musicians?
Especially, it is not. We are performing in with one's own ways.

Did you know from the beginning what kind of music you wanted to play? Or did it come later?
What music we make has not been decided at all. vocal Taichi Nomura and guitar Ryohei Nomura compose. As for the tune, composer's favor and feelings at that time are greatly controlled.

What did influence your choice of the music genre?
It is all tunes that we have willingly heard up to now.

How do you write music and lyrics? Do you have one author or do you do it all together?
vocal Taichi Nomura writes all. All lyrics are made from his real experience.

What relationships exist between you and other musicians? Are you rivals or friends?
It is both. We often play with the musician with a good relations. However, we think them to be a rival.

What is your source of inspiration?
They are various experiences. For instance, they are person's various stories, and the experiences, etc. on the trip.

Did you receive musical education or are you self-made artists?
We have not received the musical training. All members perform almost in their own style.

The Soliloquy single is strikingly different from other songs. It is calmer and dreamier and includes no garage riffs. Is it an experiment? In general, do you like to experiment?
We are glad to understand you are often listening to our music. This question made us glad. We do not have will stick to the genre at all. We want to try variously so that we may enjoy it. However, there is worry suitable for audience's favor, too.

Are you going to conquer the international stage? Or does the current state of things satisfy you?
We are not satisfied with the current state. We want to live only by the income in music. Of course, I want to do live in foreign countries.

What is the difference between the Japanese and European modern rock music?
We do not understand too much in detail. However, I think that being evaluated only by the quality of the music character in Japan is a little.

Around music clubs, movements united by some common idea often rally. I suspect that Japanese clubs are no exception, for example Kurawood and Woodstock, where you perform. Do you just play rock?
I'm sorry. The meaning of the question is not so understood. However, we do not have the so many things to be told the audience. We will be able to say only that we will play the rock in such a meaning.

In the middle 90s, the rapid development of rock music in Japan began. Today, festivals are organized that last several days. The number of these festivals as well as participants constantly grows. Is rock music really so popular in Japan?
The rock music festival has the deep-rooted popularity in Japan. There are a lot of festivals, and it rises respectively.

What relationships do you have with your fans?
It is thought it is necessary to express gratitude for us for that the audience is a person. We drink with the guest after live.

Are you going to visit your Russian fans?
Of course, I want to go. We have not been to Russia in all members. However, there is no money.

In Russia, people become more and more interested in Japanese music. Do the Japanese listen to Russian music?
No do be known whether. become familiar too much in Japan Music in Russia I am sorry. We will listen to the music of Russia.

Music has no nationality, doesn’t it?
I think it is so to say nothing of us!

Надеюсь, это не последняя наша попытка пообщаться с японскими бэндами ^^

"Thank you so much guy, america has been so great, and we are having a fantastic time here, really, thank you so much!" Takeshi said, waving--and it wasn't the usual rehearsed, typical lead singer chater. It was honest, from the heart, and off the cuff. Takeshi comes off as the nicest guy in j-rock, onstage and off. The whole band came out afterward and spent the whole night chatting with fans, with a 6am flight to new york looming, Nice! Less than an hour after bringing the house down for the first time in north america at SXSW 2006, and with a new CD just out and a nine-city tour on the horizon, Ellegarden's Takeshi Hosomi found a not-too-noisy corner of Austin's Japanese-occupied Brush Square Park and talked about marriage, money, and why TV sucks with purple SKY's Go Wells: Go Wells: So this is your first gig in america; how are you enjoying it? Takeshi Hosomi: You know, we are now making kinda big sales back in japan, and we're well known. All
