Skapara x Takeshi Hosomi performance on [Coachella]'s main stage

Tue, Apr 30 2013
California's [Coachella 2013], a yearly rock festival which takes place in Coachella Valley, featured Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's performance during the 'Weekend 2' segment. As an extra bonus, the HIATUS's Takeshi Hosomi also appeared on stage.

Coachella takes place two times; the Friday-Sunday of the first week is called 'Weekend 1' and the Friday-Sunday of the second week is called 'Weekend 2'. Sky Paradise Orchestra's performance during first week was the first time that a Japanese artist appeared on the main stage, but even on Weekend 2 Skapara didn't fail to deliver a zealous and passionate performance.

Differing from the set list of week one, Weekend 2's performance was a clever interplay of 'static' and 'dynamic', making the audience dance in all directions. The audience was so riled up that there were countless mosh pits and even quite a bit of crowd surfing.
As the performance was approaching the end, something unexpected happened. Takeshi Hosomi (of the HIATUS) suddenly appeared on stage wearing a suit matching those of Skypara. In the midst of the loud horns and Skapara's performance ensemble, Takeshi Hosomi's powerful high-tone voice escalated the performance to an even higher point of excitement, driving the audience wild.

Further, Skypara and Takeshi Hosoi also performed 'Pride of Lions' which had originally featured the guest vocals of Fumio Ito. After they finished performing two songs, a great cheer erupted for Takeshi Hosoi, sending him off as he left the stage. With such a great response from the crowd, the remaining members of Skypara were able to turn it up a notch and continue playing for another 50 minutes.
Skapara ended leaving the stage while the audience was still crying, 'ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!' for an encore.

What's curious is that there are still no present details about the song which Skapara performed with Takeshi Hosomi. Who knows what they will do next!

Takeshi Hosomi (ELLEGARDEN) Interview in US (2006)

"Thank you so much guy, america has been so great, and we are having a fantastic time here, really, thank you so much!" Takeshi said, waving--and it wasn't the usual rehearsed, typical lead singer chater. It was honest, from the heart, and off the cuff. Takeshi comes off as the nicest guy in j-rock, onstage and off. The whole band came out afterward and spent the whole night chatting with fans, with a 6am flight to new york looming, Nice! Less than an hour after bringing the house down for the first time in north america at SXSW 2006, and with a new CD just out and a nine-city tour on the horizon, Ellegarden's Takeshi Hosomi found a not-too-noisy corner of Austin's Japanese-occupied Brush Square Park and talked about marriage, money, and why TV sucks with purple SKY's Go Wells: Go Wells: So this is your first gig in america; how are you enjoying it? Takeshi Hosomi: You know, we are now making kinda big sales back in japan, and we're well known. All
