Thu, May 02 2013 As the Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra and Takeshi Hosomi took the stage at [Coachella 2013], their next stage was in Mexico. We will deliver you the live report sent from their official page. As the first Japanese artist to do so, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (aka Skapara) stood on the main stage of [Coachella 2012]. Takeshi Hosomi (the HIATUS) made quite an impact on Japanese music listeners when he came out on Skapara's stage with a suit matching with Skapara. But the impact did not stop at Coachella. The day after Skapara and Takeshi Hosomi had their joint performance, their stage crossed the border to the second largest city in Mexico, Guadarajara. The relation between Skapara and Mexico goes back to April of 2011 when they were invited to the largest festival in Latin America [Vive Latino]. Tue, Apr 30 2013 California's [Coachella 2013], a yearly rock festival which takes place in Coachella Valley, featured Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's performance during the 'Weekend 2' segment. As an extra bonus, the HIATUS's Takeshi Hosomi also appeared on stage. Coachella takes place two times; the Friday-Sunday of the first week is called 'Weekend 1' and the Friday-Sunday of the second week is called 'Weekend 2'. Sky Paradise Orchestra's performance during first week was the first time that a Japanese artist appeared on the main stage, but even on Weekend 2 Skapara didn't fail to deliver a zealous and passionate performance. The band look forward to their festival gigs, saying the only downside are the lines for the portable toilets. As the guitarist and vocalist of Japanese pop-punk band Ellegarden, Takeshi Hosomi toured throughout the country, played in the United States and South Korea, and even opened for Foo Fighters. When Ellegarden announced in 2008 that they were taking an indefinite break from making music together, Hosomi began focusing on a new alt-rock project that he eventually called The Hiatus.
